About the Role: Over-the-Counter Associate

As an OTC Associate, your main focus will be keeping the department running smoothly and ensuring customers have a positive experience every time they visit. You’ll maintain proper product presentation, rotate stock, check for expired items, and ensure the area is clean, safe, and well-organized. You’ll also be responsible for following proper procedures for ordering, pricing, markups, markdowns, and signage.

This role requires a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act. You’ll work closely with the OTC Department Manager and Pharmacy Manager, contributing to department sales and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of customer service consistent with Walmart’s core values.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

The Over-the-Counter Associate plays an essential part in the pharmacy department at Walmart. Day-to-day, you’ll be balancing customer assistance with department upkeep, ensuring products are properly displayed, priced, and in date — all while keeping the space safe and compliant with store standards.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
  • Support department sales and profit with direction from the Pharmacy Manager
  • Rotate stock and check for expired products to ensure product integrity
  • Zone the department to maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable layout
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling
  • Keep the area NCO (Neat, Clean, Organized) and free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids
  • Maintain zero pricing errors in alignment with the Scanning Credibility Program
  • Calibrate equipment used in the prescription filling process as required
