General Merchandise Associate – Walmart – Vaughan, ON

Walmart Canada is looking for a General Merchandise Associate to join their team at the Vaughan location. Day to day, you’ll be on the sales floor helping customers, stocking shelves, zoning merchandise, and making sure the store is clean and organized. About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate, your core focus is keeping the sales floor customer-ready at all times. That means stocking products, completing recovery from the Customer Service desk, setting and maintaining modulars, and jumping in wherever the team needs support — including Front End coverage when required. You’ll also apply product protection where needed and assist with flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Staying safe and following Company policies and procedures is a key part of the job. You’ll complete safety sweep logs, ensure displays and fixtures are secure, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free environment throughout your shift. Flexibility is essential — the store runs seven days a week, and this role involves a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that keep the general merchandise area running efficiently and looking its best. From greeting customers to processing recovery stock, your contributions directly affect the shopping experience and the overall flow of the store.

• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, helping them locate products, assisting with purchase decisions, and resolving or referring concerns as needed
• Cover assigned areas of the sales floor and assist with Front End coverage to ensure consistent customer support throughout the store
• Zone and recover merchandise to keep the sales floor clean, organized, and easy to navigate for customers
• Stock shelves and complete downstocking as required, applying product protection where applicable
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps, ensuring merchandise is placed correctly
• Process recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other store areas
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following Company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays are secure
• Communicate with team members to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are consistently met
