Responsibilities

Day-to-day tasks are focused on data gathering and mail volume counting to support Canada Post’s Route Measurement process. Accuracy and consistency are what make this work meaningful — the information collected directly informs how letter carrier routes are planned and managed.

  • Prepare offices for volume count activities at the start of each shift
  • Count letter mail and oversized mail in letter carrier cases on a block-by-block basis and accurately record totals
  • Complete Letter Carrier Route sampling forms by gathering required information directly from letter carriers
  • Weigh mail designated for letter carrier delivery
  • Assist with data analysis using a calculator as directed by the Route Measurement Officer
