Team Leader – Dollarama – Edmonton, AB

About the Role: Team Leader

As a Team Leader at Dollarama, you’ll be responsible for supervising store associates, overseeing daily shipments and shelf stocking, and stepping into manager-on-duty responsibilities when needed. You’ll handle everything from cash management and store opening/closing procedures to addressing customer concerns and participating in inventory counts.

Beyond the day-to-day operational tasks, you’ll play a key role in employee training and performance evaluations, helping your team develop and perform at their best. Maintaining store safety, cleanliness, and company merchandising standards is equally central to what you’ll do each shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store associates, providing day-to-day guidance and support
• Manage store merchandising, shelf stocking, and boxing and unboxing of daily shipments
• Uphold customer service standards and address complaints or issues promptly and professionally
• Perform manager-on-duty tasks, including monitoring breaks, time, and attendance
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards in line with company strategy
• Oversee store safety and cleanliness, contributing to a well-maintained environment
• Handle cash management, store opening, and closing duties as required
• Participate in inventory counts and related processes
• Support employee training and contribute to performance evaluations

Requirements / Skills

• Minimum one (1) year of retail industry experience in a store or customer-facing environment
• Minimum one (1) year of team management experience supervising or leading others

• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining standards
