About the Role: Sr Manager, Facility Operations

Responsibilities
As the Sr Manager of Facility Operations, your daily work centres on keeping a complex, high-volume logistics facility running smoothly and safely. You’ll be accountable for both the people and the processes that make on-time, reliable delivery possible for FedEx customers across the Ottawa region.
- Plan and direct all operations within the Ramp and Station service areas to maximize customer service outcomes
- Manage budgets and ensure the facility operates in a cost-effective, efficient manner
- Lead people development initiatives, including performance management and operational leadership for your team
- Oversee safety and security protocols across all facility operations, ensuring a safe work environment

Requirements / Skills
FedEx is seeking a candidate who brings both academic credentials and genuine leadership experience to this role. The ideal person has managed people directly, understands operational accountability, and has a proven track record of running a team in a structured, high-standards environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent level of education
- Four (4) years of business experience, including at least one (1) year of direct employee management and operational leadership — the management experience must fall within the past four years
- Valid Class G driver’s licence with a good driving record (no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months)
- Internal candidates must currently hold a FedEx management role or be EXCEL/LEAP endorsed
- Proficiency in a PC Windows environment and ability to complete all required testing and training
- Bilingualism (French and English) required for candidates residing in Quebec
