Software Development Engineer III – Amazon – Vancouver, BC (CA) – $251,700/year

As part of the AWS Identity team, you will have the chance to operate and engineer systems on a large scale, while building your expertise in the field of software development. We are a fast-growing team that believes in solving complex problems and delivering business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and verification of components using standard software engineering methodologies.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver and operate large-scale, distributed services in the cloud.
- Work on overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture, and help build a fast-growing team.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- Base salary ranging from $150,700 to $251,700/year depending on experience and location.
