Senior Technical Account Manager – Amazon – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON | Company: Amazon
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Enterprise Support team is growing fast — and they’re looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) based in Toronto, Ontario. This is a strategic advisory role that puts you at the intersection of cutting-edge cloud technology and high-impact customer relationships, spanning everything from ambitious startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
Rather than a sales position, this is a deeply technical and consultative role. You’ll serve as the primary technical advisor and internal champion for your customers, guiding them through their AWS cloud adoption journey across services like EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFront CDN, and IoT. Day to day, you’ll be proactively managing cloud environments, driving strategic guidance, and engaging senior leadership on risk management, incident response, and technical trade-offs.
About the Role: Senior Technical Account Manager
The TAM role within AWS Enterprise Support is centred on building trusted, long-term relationships with customers and helping them get measurable value from the AWS ecosystem. You’ll craft and execute adoption strategies, advise on cloud architecture best practices, and ensure that your customers’ AWS environments are operationally healthy and aligned with their business goals. Bilingualism in French and English is required given the global and cross-provincial nature of the work.
You’ll collaborate across teams internally and represent the customer’s perspective within AWS, keeping their best interests front and centre. This role requires up to 10% travel and a readiness to engage in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment where no two days look the same.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this Senior Technical Account Manager role in Toronto is $126,000 to $210,400 CAD annually. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources focused on health and well-being. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
