Senior Network Security Solutions Architect – Amazon Web Services – Vancouver, BC – $99,900 to $166,900/year
We are hiring a Senior Network Security Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This role is for a network security professional who can consult, build a wide range of networking and security capabilities, dive deep into details, create scalable solutions, and communicate effectively at all levels within an organization.

Role of the Senior Network Security Solutions Architect
As a Senior Network Security Solutions Architect, your key responsibilities will include:
- Interaction at the CxO/VP Level: Act as a trusted advisor within customer accounts, collaborating with developers and technical architects.
- Design and Build Solutions: Automate networking and security on AWS, collaborating with technical teams to create high-quality solutions.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship across AWS sales and solutions architecture teams to build skills in networking and security.
- Representing AWS: Represent AWS at trade events by delivering network or security presentations and workshops.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- 5+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
- 2+ years of hands-on technical expertise in cloud network security design, implementation, integration, and/or deployment.
- 5+ years of experience in networking technologies (WAN, LAN, SDWAN, etc.).
- Technical degree required; Computer Science, Math, or Engineering background preferred.
- Ability to travel, including out of province, up to 35% of the time.
- Fluent in French and English if based in Montreal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Relevant industry certifications in Networking & Security.
- Intermediate or advanced experience architecting/securing solutions built on AWS.
- Hands-on technical expertise in building scripts, tools, or methodologies that enhance customer solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Experience working with IT leadership to articulate Networking or Security strategies and plans.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $99,900 to $166,900 per year. Depending on the role offered, additional compensation such as equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be included in the total compensation package.
