About the Role: Senior Financial Analyst
In this position, you’ll take ownership of preparing accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, monitoring actuals versus plan, and diving deep into variances to uncover meaningful insights. You’ll produce analytical commentary and reporting that helps leaders at all levels understand financial performance and make well-informed decisions. This role also involves proactively building and improving financial models, increasing automation, and streamlining reporting processes.
Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, and Retail to anticipate evolving performance reporting needs and drive process improvements. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate complex financial results clearly — to both financial and non-financial audiences — will be key to your success here.
Benefits and Salary
The broadband salary range for this role is $64,000 – $106,000 CAD, with final compensation depending on experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A Supply Chain team, your day-to-day work centres on delivering high-quality financial analysis that informs executive-level decisions. You’ll balance routine reporting with ad hoc deep dives, all while building strong cross-functional relationships that make you an indispensable business partner.
- Prepare accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, monitoring results against plan and investigating variances to surface risks and opportunities
- Produce insightful analytical commentary and financial reporting for both financial and non-financial stakeholders to support decision-making
- Build and improve financial models to support regular reporting and ad hoc analysis, with a focus on automation and process streamlining
- Manage data and conduct data mining to translate raw financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Anticipate evolving financial performance reporting needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
- Partner with the Transportation and Supply Chain business teams as well as broader Finance and Retail teams to understand results and provide meaningful guidance
Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in financial planning and analysis, strong technical skills, and the interpersonal polish to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) — currently pursuing or already obtained
- 3–5 years of experience in a business or financial analysis role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access for modelling and reporting
- Experience building and improving financial models, including automation initiatives
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, HFM, Power BI, and SQL is considered a strong asset; Supply Chain experience is also an asset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial results to diverse audiences
