About the Role: Associate Analyst, BP Controls Input
In this position, you’ll support the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team with financial analysis, FP&A support, and governance across BP portfolios. You’ll consolidate Opex and project spend, validate variance explanations against GL and Planview data, and produce reporting materials for SVP/VP review. You’ll also manage forecasting off active SOWs and accruals, ensure invoices are paid on time, and assist with quarterly Opex forecasting alongside the FP&A function.
Beyond financial analysis, you’ll play an important coordination role — supporting contract management governance, preparing executive summaries, coordinating SVP/AVP approval meetings, and tracking BP contractor offboarding. You’ll maintain the BP action tracker, prepare SteerCo materials, and provide reliable, consistent support across the CoE team. This role requires someone who is discreet, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple senior stakeholders at once.

Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $53,000 – $88,000, with a typical hiring range of $53,000 to $70,000. Final compensation will reflect your experience, internal equity, and role-specific factors. Responsibilities
This role spans financial governance, executive reporting, budget tracking, and team coordination — making it a broad and rewarding position for an organized finance professional. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to keep the CoE running smoothly and ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and decision-ready.
- Consolidate Opex and project spend across all BP portfolios, comparing actuals to monthly and quarterly snapshots
- Validate AVP/DPM variance explanations against GL, Planview, forecasts, and budget trackers
- Build executive presentations by portfolio, highlighting business impact for SVP/VP review
- Track spend versus allotment by portfolio and forecast off all active SOWs and accruals
- Reconcile invoices to actuals and ensure invoices are paid on time and fully accrued
- Support contract management governance, including preparing executive summaries and coordinating weekly SVP/AVP approval meetings
- Automate contractor offboarding triggers to notify reporting managers two weeks before each end date
- Maintain the BP action tracker and follow up on open items across senior stakeholders
- Prepare SteerCo materials, executive pre-reads, and escalation summaries to support the operating cadence
Requirements / Skills

- Strong communication skills and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and dashboarding tools such as Power BI
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with a proactive and discreet working style
