The broadband salary range for this role is $50,000 – $73,000 CAD, with a typical hiring range of $68,000 – $72,000 CAD annually. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and other role-specific factors. Responsibilities

This role covers a broad scope — from hands-on incident coordination and root cause analysis to stakeholder communication and project support. The Retail Operations Specialist is expected to manage competing priorities with sound judgment while keeping all parties informed and aligned throughout.

  • Provide senior analyst-level support for business-critical retail and operational technologies supporting Canadian Tire Gas+ and Petro-Canada locations
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of technical, operational, and service-related issues impacting customers, retailers, and business operations
  • Analyze incidents, trends, recurring issues, and service performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action planning to reduce repeat incidents and improve service stability
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical support teams, translating technical issues into clear, business-friendly communication
  • Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, dependencies, and action plans
  • Support the implementation of technology enhancements, operational initiatives, and system changes including requirements gathering, testing, and post-implementation activities
  • Create and maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, reporting, dashboards, and business communications

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical know-how and strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with both IT teams and non-technical business audiences.   • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience or working knowledge of Bulloch POS environments, BT900 back-office systems, ServiceNow, MS-365, and Power BI
  • Familiarity with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes and service management environments
  • Experience in retail fuel, convenience, loyalty, payment, or petroleum technologies is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Experience coordinating incident resolution and working with multiple stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and external support teams
