Rather than sitting in an isolated compliance function, this role is built around collaboration. You’ll work directly with AI practitioners, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate governance requirements into tools and guidance that teams can actually use day-to-day. The goal is straightforward: make responsible AI practices the path of least resistance across the organization.

About the Role: Manager, AI Governance Enablement

At its core, this position is about driving adoption of AI governance practices across Canadian Tire’s enterprise. That means partnering closely with delivery teams, supporting them through AI risk assessments, reviews, and approval processes, and developing the practical tools and templates that make governance less of a hurdle and more of a habit. You’ll also lead enablement programs, training sessions, and communities of practice to build real capability across the business.

Beyond the day-to-day enablement work, you’ll be responsible for monitoring how well governance practices are taking hold — tracking adoption, maturity, and process effectiveness across business units and identifying where friction can be reduced. This is a role that requires both rigour and empathy: understanding the pressure delivery teams are under while keeping responsible AI standards front and centre.
