You’ll act as a Workday subject matter expert for the Integrations and Security modules, bringing hands-on expertise while also drawing on working knowledge across Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Learning, Talent, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. You’ll partner with functional teams to review business requirements, recommend process improvements, and translate HR policy into technical configuration.

Collaboration is a key part of this role. You’ll work closely with external technical vendors, internal partners, and audit stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll take ownership of Workday Security configurations and Integration modules while providing day-to-day functional support across the platform. Your work directly impacts how employees across the organization access systems, how data moves between platforms, and how HR technology evolves to meet the business’s needs.

  • Act as subject matter expert for Workday Integrations and Security, with working knowledge across HCM Core, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, and more
  • Lead quarterly security audits and semi-annual Workday release cycles to deliver new functionality and enhancements
  • Maintain and develop Canadian Tire’s Workday security framework, including custom security roles and security configurations for new integrations
  • Coordinate with external vendors to execute maintenance and enhancements of Workday configurations, including business processes, notifications, and eligibility rules
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues with technical partners to ensure accurate and timely data flow between systems and external providers
  • Build, test, and upload Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for mass data uploads as required
  • Partner with functional teams to review business requirements, recommend process improvements, and deploy system enhancements
  • Support internal and external audit requirements as needed

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on Workday expertise — particularly in Security and Integrations — along with the communication skills to bridge HR and technology teams.   • Exceptional problem-solving ability with the capacity to identify and resolve complex, multi-dimensional issues
  • Retail, distribution centre, or hourly workforce exposure is considered a strong asset
