About the Role: Senior Account Manager, Automotive

As part of Google’s Large Customer Sales (LCS) team, you’ll act as a strategic partner and industry thought leader to leading automotive brands and agencies. Your day-to-day involves leading high-level meetings with client executives, uncovering their marketing goals, and turning those goals into data-driven campaign strategies that deliver measurable results. You’ll pitch solutions, manage objections, track performance, and identify upsell opportunities — all while building trusted, long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of Google’s advertising business, working with large automotive clients to drive real, measurable outcomes. Each responsibility is designed to strengthen client relationships, grow revenue, and push the boundaries of what digital advertising strategy can achieve.

  • Lead strategic client meetings to uncover marketing goals and Key Performance Indicators, translating them into actionable campaign strategies
  • Drive exceptional campaign results by quantifying business impact and demonstrating advanced value to customers while maintaining account hygiene
  • Build and pitch data-driven solutions that maximize customer value through Google’s advertising products, managing objections and achieving business growth goals
  • Analyze campaign data to ensure performance is accurately tracked and delivering measurable results aligned with customer objectives
  • Monitor performance insights to identify and cultivate qualified upsell opportunities, driving future customer growth and building pipeline

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a candidate who brings both strategic sales acumen and hands-on experience with digital marketing and advertising. The ideal person is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, communicates with clarity and confidence, and is genuinely passionate about helping clients succeed.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients in a professional capacity
  • Fluent English communication skills to engage with clients across the region
  • 3 years of experience managing digital marketing and advertising campaigns and relationships (preferred)
  • 2 years of project management experience within a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • 1 year of leadership experience (preferred)
  • Master’s degree in a business-related field is considered an asset
