At the core of this position is a mandate to grow advertising revenue across channels for Canada’s leading retailers. Benefits and Salary
Google offers a highly competitive total compensation package for this role. The base salary range is $198,000 – $202,000 CAD, with a 75% bonus target, equity grants through Alphabet Inc., and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities
This role centres on strategic account management and revenue growth within Canada’s retail sector. Each day involves a blend of relationship-building, solution design, data analysis, and executive-level influence. Here’s what you’ll be accountable for:
- Partner with Canada’s largest retailers to drive cross-channel advertising growth through data-driven points of view and recommendations aligned with customer business objectives
- Engage and influence key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, building trusted relationships to understand business challenges and strategic priorities
- Design and pitch tailored advertising solutions leveraging Google’s product suite and compelling storytelling, while navigating objections to secure investment and exceed growth targets
- Demonstrate value by measuring campaign performance against customer objectives and sharing actionable insights that reinforce the partnership
- Own the growth path of each account by identifying and cultivating a pipeline of new opportunities through strategic insights and expanded partnerships
- Lead the development of Joint Business Plans, aligning with customers on shared goals and establishing mutual accountability to unlock new growth opportunities
Requirements / Skills
Google is seeking a seasoned sales professional with deep experience in advertising and media and a proven track record at the executive level. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and the hands-on ability to execute across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
- 11+ years of experience in sales, advertising sales, marketing, consulting, media, or working with advertising agencies
- Experience building trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives while managing multiple projects and internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with Ad Solutions, video advertising (including online video and CTV), and the competitive landscape across traditional and digital media
- Cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working across internal and external teams
- Strategic sales planning ability, including building comprehensive growth strategies for large accounts
- Understanding of advertising strategy and a commitment to advancing Google’s forward-looking marketplace initiatives
