Amazon Advertising is hiring a Sales Strategy and Operations Manager to join the Central StratOps, GTM and Analytics team in Toronto, Ontario. About the Role: Sales Strategy and Operations Manager
As part of the Segmentation and Planning team, you’ll design and coordinate sales planning workflows on a global scale — from forward-looking strategy through to day-to-day operational execution. You’ll be responsible for building scalable mechanisms that support segmentation implementation, book-of-business planning, and quota distribution. Your work will directly enable front-line sales managers and regional leadership to operate efficiently and focus on the right accounts.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners across Finance, Sales AI, Sales Tech, and regional Sales leadership, managing complex interdependencies and driving toward simple, scalable solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential — you’ll regularly be summarizing analytical findings for senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making at the leadership level.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position in Toronto is $74,600 to $124,600 CAD annually. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be leading and coordinating some of the most foundational work that enables Amazon Ads’ global sales organization to operate at scale. From managing planning cycles to analyzing process gaps, your day-to-day work will span data analysis, project management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Every deliverable you produce helps thousands of sellers prioritize and execute more effectively.
- Lead segmentation and planning projects designed to improve operational process efficiency, working extensively with Finance, Sales AI, Sales Tech, and regional leadership
- Drive cross-functional coordination to deliver results on predefined timelines, mapping interdependencies and managing risks across planning cycles
- Support escalation resolution by investigating and managing complex, high-impact problems related to data and processes that affect Sales teams
- Analyze process gaps and develop simple, scalable solutions to close them, driving toward operational excellence
- Gather and document business requirements from Sales customers and stakeholders, propose solutions, evaluate feasibility, and collaborate with Product and Science teams to prioritize features
- Own complex decisions using high-level judgment and escalate to leadership when required
- Project-manage multiple workflows across planning milestones, communicating complex analytical results clearly in both written and verbal formats
Requirements / Skills

- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience, demonstrating advanced data analysis capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms
- Experience defining and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies
- 5+ years in finance, business management, or sales operations is preferred
- Experience in a high-growth technology company is considered an asset
