Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of field sales specialists, conducting regular performance reviews and implementing development plans to foster a high-performance culture

- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify and act on new growth opportunities
- Build and manage strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including direct account ownership for 2–3 key accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and representing DHL at industry events and trade shows
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics using CRM software and analytics tools, providing regular updates to senior management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure a unified approach to customer engagement
- Gather market intelligence to keep product and trade lane teams informed, adjusting strategies to maintain competitive positioning
Requirements / Skills

- 8–10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within logistics or freight forwarding
- Strong product knowledge across air, ocean, customs brokerage, warehousing, and distribution within the forwarding industry
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold a sales team accountable to results
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including active listening and the ability to build long-term client relationships
