Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: This is a temporary, on-call Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent job at Canada Post in Dartmouth, delivering mail and parcels on foot or by vehicle. Put your Class 5 or Class G licence and 3-year safe driving record first, since they serve the driving duties. Then list your ability to lift and carry heavy items and your on-call availability.

Resume & Application Tips: Start with past work that involved deliveries, driving or serving customers, because the posting names both as assets. Name the vehicles you have driven and the length of your clean driving record. Add a measurable detail in a sentence of its own, for example “Completed 40 or more customer stops per shift with no safety incidents.” Keep your driver’s abstract handy, since the posting requires it.

Interview Preparation: Prepare one or two real examples from your own work that match the main duties: driving safely, handling heavy items and serving customers. Be ready to explain how you handle outdoor work in all types of weather and how your schedule fits on-call availability. Questions worth asking include how on-call shifts are assigned and how temporary delivery agents move into permanent positions.
