Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in the Revenue Recovery department is a mix of physical package handling and precise data verification. Every package that passes through this team needs to be correctly measured, scanned, and billed — and it’s the Package Handler’s job to make sure that happens accurately and efficiently.

  • Scan, weigh, and dimension packages accurately using approved systems such as NSDS, DWS, and handheld scanners
  • Identify and correct billing discrepancies including incorrect weights, dimensions, service levels, or missing data
  • Process packages in compliance with UPS revenue recovery procedures and audit standards
  • Maintain data accuracy and attention to detail to support revenue integrity across operations
  • Safely lift, move, push, and position packages following UPS safety methods and ergonomics guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with Operations, Clerks, and Supervisors regarding exceptions or system issues
  • Meet or exceed productivity, quality, and valid scan targets each shift
  • Report damaged packages, irregulars, or system issues promptly to the appropriate team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
