About the Role: Project Coordinator, Project Close-Out and Transition
Day-to-day, you’ll be providing administrative and operational support to the Director of Real Estate Integration while leading project coordination efforts that ensure construction sites move cleanly into operational readiness. You’ll maintain tracking systems for deficiencies, warranty items, and maintenance issues, administer contracts, purchase orders, and change orders, and support training and documentation transfer activities. It’s a role that demands both precision and the ability to juggle multiple moving parts simultaneously.
You’ll also be the connecting thread between internal Store Planning and Construction teams and external stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships to resolve outstanding items efficiently. Keeping project documentation accurate and well-organized will be central to your work, as will following up on deficiencies to ensure they’re resolved in a timely manner.
Benefits and Salary
Canadian Tire’s typical hiring range for this role is between $53,000 and $88,000 CAD annually, with a target salary range of $62,000 to $72,000 CAD annually, depending on your experience, skills, and other factors. Responsibilities
This role is built around keeping real estate and construction projects on track through their most critical phases — close-out and transition. - Partner with Store Planning and Construction teams to identify and resolve outstanding items or deficiencies
- Monitor and follow up on deficiencies to ensure timely resolution and completion
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all project documentation in an organized manner

Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in construction management, design, or engineering, ideally gained within a commercial real estate context. - Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, design, engineering, or a related discipline
- Commercial real estate experience, preferably with large retailers, developers, architectural or engineering firms, or construction companies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities to handle multiple competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with project management tools is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to track, resolve, and report on risk and control issues
- Retail industry experience is considered an asset
