Produce Stocker – Walmart – St. Thomas, ON

About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, you’ll maintain the freshness and presentation of the produce section by rotating stock, checking expiry dates, and ensuring shelves are fully stocked and properly priced. You’ll work within Walmart’s established cold chain compliance standards to guarantee food safety from the moment products arrive to when customers pick them up.

This role requires a solid understanding of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and Health and Safety guidelines. You’ll also collaborate with your team on ordering, markdowns, signage, and setting new shelf configurations — contributing directly to a smooth and well-run department.

This position starts at a minimum rate of $18.05 per hour. Responsibilities

Day-to-day work as a Produce Stocker centres on keeping the department fresh, organized, and fully stocked for customers. From managing product rotation to following strict food safety protocols, every task contributes to a safe and appealing shopping experience.

• Zone the department regularly to maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready produce area
• Rotate stock and check for expired or past-date products to ensure freshness and compliance
• Ensure proper signage and pricing on all merchandise throughout the department
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and food handling procedures
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
• Manage ordering and markdowns by following proper procedures for clearance, markups/markdowns, and labelling
• Stock shelves and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf cap setups
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times throughout the workday
