About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, your primary focus is on maintaining the produce department — from stocking shelves and rotating inventory to ensuring products are correctly priced and signed. You’ll follow strict food safety and handling procedures, including cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, and temperature recording, to make sure every product meets quality standards.

This role also involves setting and completing modulars and shelf layouts, applying product protection where required, and following health and safety guidelines throughout your shift. Whether you’re working mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights, your contribution directly impacts the customer experience.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.05 per hour. Responsibilities

The day-to-day work of a Produce Stocker at Walmart Mississauga covers everything from stocking and rotating fresh inventory to maintaining food safety standards. These responsibilities keep the department running efficiently and ensure customers always find what they need on the shelves.

• Zone the department regularly to maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable produce area
• Rotate stock and check for expired or near-expiry products to minimize waste and ensure freshness
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced at all times
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards, including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, and sell-by/expiration date monitoring
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a hygienic department environment
• Process ordering, clearance, and markups/markdowns using proper signing, flagging, pricing, and label procedures
• Stock merchandise and downstock as applicable, applying product protection when required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines throughout every shift
