Responsibilities
As a Process Engineer Technician, your day-to-day work centres on analysing, documenting, and improving distribution workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and operational teams to ensure that processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with Lean manufacturing principles.
- Assist process engineers in developing and deploying efficient processes that optimise the use of associates, equipment, materials, and information
- Collaborate with stakeholder teams including Warehouse Operations, Facilities Engineering, IT Application Developers, Logistics, Safety, Material Planning, MHE Vendors, and 3PLs
- Identify process constraints in partnership with management and cross-functional teams, then execute targeted solutions
- Design multi-process workstation layouts, standardised work procedures, staffing models, and process maps to support workstation rebalancing
- Prepare diagrams illustrating workflow, product routing, floor layouts, material handling, and equipment utilisation
- Collect statistical cycle time studies, analyse the data, and apply findings to optimise processes
- Apply working knowledge of 5S principles, Work Measurement, Just-in-Time (JIT), Continuous Improvement, and Problem-Solving Methods
