About the Role: Part Time Package Handler (Day Sort)

As a Package Handler on the Day Sort shift, your workday runs Monday to Friday from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. You’ll be responsible for the physical handling of packages — loading and unloading trailers and package cars, scanning shipments, sorting parcels, and stocking. Some tasks may involve operating heavy machinery, and you’ll work within a fast-paced warehouse environment where accuracy and efficiency matter.

As a federally regulated workplace, all team members receive full training to ensure they understand proper package handling methods, safety protocols, and company policies. Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in this role is physical and fast-moving. As a Package Handler, you’ll be on the floor ensuring packages are properly handled, sorted, and routed throughout the shift. Accuracy, physical stamina, and the ability to follow established UPS handling methods are central to success in this position.

• Load and unload UPS packages from trailers and package cars efficiently and safely
• Sort and scan packages to ensure accurate routing and delivery
• Stock packages according to UPS procedures in the facility
• Learn and apply proper UPS package handling methods as trained
• Operate heavy machinery as required to complete tasks within the warehouse
• Complete additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Requirements / Skills

• Physical capability to repeatedly lift packages up to 70 lbs unassisted and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs via team lift
