About the Role: Part-time Package Handler – Preload

As a Preload Package Handler, your core responsibility is to prepare UPS delivery trucks for the day’s routes. This means loading packages by hand, following load charts, and making sure every parcel is sorted and placed on the right vehicle — all within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You may be loading 2 to 4 trucks simultaneously, so strong attention to detail matters.

You’ll be part of a unionized team, working within established procedures that prioritize both efficiency and safety. Benefits and Salary

This role starts at $18.00 per hour, with a top rate of pay reaching $30.11 per hour after 48 months of seniority. After one year of service, you’ll be eligible for health, vision, and dental benefits. Responsibilities

• Scanning packages on UPS vehicles to ensure accurate tracking and sorting
• Loading packages onto UPS delivery trucks by hand, following proper handling procedures
• Following load charts to sort and organize packages in the correct delivery order
• Managing multiple trucks simultaneously — loading 2 to 4 trucks at a time with accuracy
• Learning UPS procedures for package handling, methods, and safety protocols
• Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise
• Maintaining pace in a physically demanding role, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Adapting to variable shift times during peak holiday season and high-volume periods

Requirements / Skills

• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kg consistently throughout the shift
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate package sorting
