About the Role: Early Morning Warehouse Associate

As a Warehouse Associate at UPS Ajax, your primary responsibilities revolve around the physical handling of packages within the warehouse and across UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers. You’ll be expected to learn and apply UPS’s established package handling methods, sort shipments by postal code, and ensure packages are loaded and unloaded efficiently every shift.

This role requires you to be comfortable working in tight spaces, including inside truck trailers, and to adapt to variable start and finish times. Flexibility with shift duration (3 to 5 hours per day) is a must, and all associates are required to work a minimum of 25 hours per week. The work environment includes exposure to hot and cold temperatures both inside the warehouse and outdoors.

Benefits and Salary

UPS offers a competitive starting wage of $18.50 per hour, with automatic progression under the Union Collective Agreement — reaching a top rate of $36.53/hr after 48 months of service. This is a unionized position, which comes with union dues of approximately $52/month and a one-time $50 initiation fee after 90 working days. Beyond the base pay, associates receive weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday, paid training, and personal paid days off. After one year of service, you’ll be eligible for extended health care benefits including vision, dental, life insurance, and health coverage. Responsibilities

Each shift, Warehouse Associates at UPS Ajax are responsible for keeping packages moving accurately and on time. The work is hands-on and physical, forming the backbone of UPS’s daily package delivery operations across the region.

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is physically fit, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment during early morning hours.
