Package Handler Trainer PT-5 – FedEx – Woodbridge, ON
FedEx is looking for a Package Handler Trainer (PT-5) at their Woodbridge, Ontario facility. This part-time, temporary contract role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in warehouse operations who’s ready to step into a training capacity and help new team members hit the ground running.
In this position, you’ll be working the midnight sort shift — Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 2:30 AM — training fellow Package Handlers on proper loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques while also performing physical package handling yourself. If you enjoy mentoring others in a fast-paced logistics environment, this role offers a meaningful way to contribute to the operation.
About the Role: Package Handler Trainer PT-5
As a Package Handler Trainer at FedEx’s Woodbridge facility on 45 Di Poce Way, your primary focus will be on coaching new and existing Package Handlers to ensure packages move through the operation safely and efficiently. You’ll deliver on-the-job instruction covering unloading, carrying, loading, palletizing, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling. You’ll also reinforce dock safety standards and keep managers informed about operational conditions during each sort.
Beyond the training responsibilities, you’ll be actively working alongside the team — loading and unloading packages, scanning labels, and operating various equipment. Physical stamina is key, as the role involves continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of packages ranging from 10 to 50 pounds throughout a 3–5 hour shift. Conditions include exposure to hot and cold temperatures and a loud working environment — so being prepared for that physical and sensory reality is part of the job.
