This is a hands-on role working inside a FedEx sorting facility, where you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning packages, and keeping shipments moving through the network on time. The shift availability runs Monday to Friday and Sunday, 10 AM to 7:00 PM.

About the Role: Package Handler / Non-Driver

As a Package Handler, your core responsibility is to keep freight flowing efficiently through the warehouse. You’ll be loading and unloading packages, using handheld scanners, and sorting shipments according to FedEx protocols.

You’ll be expected to complete all required training and recurrency certifications, operate in a PC Windows environment, and maintain accreditations as required. Working within Canadian Customs regulations and FedEx Canada operational standards is part of the day-to-day.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in this role centres on keeping freight moving accurately and efficiently through the facility. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential, as packages must be handled correctly at every stage of the sorting process.

  • Load and unload freight from trucks and conveyor systems within the facility
  • Scan packages using FedEx scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking
  • Complete all mandatory basic and recurrency training and annual accreditations
  • Operate within a PC Windows environment as required
  • Adhere to FedEx Canada operations standards and Canadian Customs regulations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned based on business needs

Requirements / Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Physical fitness — must be able to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills for working as part of a team
  • Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training as required
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required for candidates residing in Quebec
