About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver

As a Package Handler with FedEx Canada, your primary focus is on the efficient movement of freight through the facility. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading packages, using scanning equipment to track shipments accurately, and sorting freight to the correct destination lanes. Safety and compliance are central to how FedEx operates. Responsibilities

Working on the warehouse floor at FedEx means contributing directly to the reliable delivery of packages across Canada and beyond. Each task — from scanning to sorting — plays a role in keeping shipments on schedule and customers satisfied.

• Load and unload freight from vehicles and within the facility efficiently and safely
• Scan packages accurately to maintain tracking integrity throughout the logistics chain
• Sort freight into the correct destination lanes based on routing information
• Complete all required training including basic onboarding and ongoing recurrency programs
• Operate in a PC/Windows environment as needed for scanning and data entry tasks
• Adapt to varying shift schedules based on operational business needs, with confirmed Monday and Saturday availability
• Use appropriate equipment to manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs safely

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for dependable, physically capable individuals who can keep up in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and follow procedures are just as important as the physical side of the role.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred, not required)
• Ability to complete all mandatory and recurrency training and maintain annual accreditations where applicable
• Monday and Saturday availability is required for this position
• Bilingual in French and English is required for candidates residing in Quebec
