Responsibilities

Working as a Package Handler at FedEx Williams Lake means being an essential part of a facility that processes freight every day. Your day-to-day duties are physical and time-sensitive, requiring both reliability and a strong work ethic.

• Load and unload freight within the FedEx facility accurately and efficiently
• Scan packages to ensure proper tracking and chain of custody throughout the sorting process
• Sort freight according to destination and operational guidelines
• Lift and manoeuvre packages up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Complete all required training, including basic and recurrent certification programs
• Maintain compliance with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations
• Work varying shifts based on business needs, with Mon–Sat early morning availability

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for candidates who are dependable, physically capable, and ready to learn. You don’t need an extensive background in logistics — but you do need to be committed to showing up, following procedures, and working well with others.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Availability Monday through Saturday, with shift start times between 4am and 8am
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred, not required)
• Ability to complete mandatory training and maintain any required accreditations
• Comfortable working in a PC Windows environment as needed
