Responsibilities

In this warehouse-based role, your day revolves around the physical handling of freight at the Richmond FedEx facility. Every task you complete contributes directly to on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction across the network.

  • Load and unload freight within the facility, ensuring packages are handled carefully and efficiently
  • Scan packages accurately to maintain real-time tracking and shipment visibility
  • Sort freight by destination or route to support smooth outbound operations
  • Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
  • Complete all required training and recurrency programs, maintaining any annual accreditations as applicable
  • Operate in a PC/Windows environment as required for scanning or documentation tasks
  • Work varying shifts based on business needs and operational demands

Requirements / Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training as required
  • Candidates residing in Quebec must be bilingual (French and English)
