Responsibilities
As a Package Handler at FedEx Sudbury, your day-to-day will revolve around keeping freight moving accurately and on schedule. Each task you complete directly supports the reliability that customers across Canada count on from FedEx.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and delivery vehicles within the facility
- Scan packages to track and verify shipments throughout the sorting process
- Sort freight accurately according to destination and routing requirements
- Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre items up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Complete all required training, including basic and recurrency training modules, to maintain operational standards
- Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed for scanning and data entry tasks
- Adhere to safety protocols and FedEx Canada operational procedures at all times
Requirements / Skills

- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not strictly required
- Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with proper equipment

- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is considered an asset
