About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver
As a Package Handler at the Mississauga facility, your primary duties involve the loading and unloading of freight, as well as scanning and sorting packages within the warehouse environment. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work varying shifts based on operational needs.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment. You’ll also be expected to complete all required training and recurrency programs, operate within a PC Windows environment, and maintain any applicable annual accreditations. Shifts run Monday through Sunday, with two days off determined by management.

Responsibilities
Day-to-day work in this role centres on keeping freight moving efficiently through the facility. Whether it’s the overnight AM shift or the evening PM shift, accuracy and physical readiness are key to keeping operations on track.
- Load and unload freight within the FedEx facility
- Scan and sort packages accurately to ensure correct routing
- Lift and manoeuvre packages up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Complete all required training including basic and recurrency programs
- Operate within a PC Windows environment as needed
- Maintain annual accreditations where applicable
- Work varying shifts Monday through Sunday based on business needs
Requirements / Skills

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
