Responsibilities
In this role, your day will revolve around keeping freight flowing through the facility accurately and on schedule. Every task you perform — from scanning to sorting to loading — contributes directly to FedEx’s ability to deliver on its commitments to customers across Canada.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and within the facility according to FedEx procedures
- Scan packages to ensure accurate tracking and processing throughout the facility
- Sort freight correctly based on destination and routing information
- Lift and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Complete all mandatory training including basic and recurrency training as required by FedEx
- Work varying shifts based on operational needs of the facility
- Operate in a PC Windows environment as required for scanning and tracking systems
