About the Role: Package Handler / Non-Driver
As a Package Handler at FedEx Canada, your primary function is to support the flow of freight through the facility. Responsibilities
In this role, your work directly supports the movement of thousands of packages through the FedEx Dorval facility each shift. From the moment freight arrives to when it’s sorted and ready for dispatch, your contributions keep the supply chain on track. Here’s what you can expect to be doing:
- Load and unload freight at the facility, ensuring packages are handled with care and efficiency
- Scan packages accurately to maintain up-to-date tracking records throughout the sorting process
- Sort freight by destination, ensuring proper routing to meet delivery timelines
- Lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Complete all required training, including basic orientation and recurrency programs, maintaining annual accreditations where applicable
- Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed to support tracking and logistics tasks
- Work varying shifts based on business needs and operational demands
Requirements / Skills
