FedEx is looking for a Shuttle Driver to join their team in New Richmond, Quebec. This is a full-time, regular position based out of 116 Rue Industrielle, where you’ll play a key role in keeping freight moving efficiently between facilities. The schedule runs Monday to Friday starting at 4:00 a.m., so early risers will feel right at home.
About the Role: Shuttle Driver
As a Shuttle Driver with Federal Express Corporation Canada, you’re an essential link in the logistics chain. You’ll handle freight at every stage — loading, unloading, auditing package size and weight, sorting by service type and destination, and scanning using FedEx’s computerized tracking systems. You’ll also be responsible for keeping vehicles clean and performing minor maintenance as needed.
Safety is a top priority in this role. You’ll be expected to follow all company safety procedures, comply with government regulations, and adhere to any rules established by local airport authorities. Protecting FedEx Canada property and customer shipments — from packages to equipment and vehicles — is part of the job every single day. On an emergency basis, you may also be called upon to handle pick-ups and deliveries, not exceeding 10% of your time. Given the location in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of freight within and between FedEx facilities. From the moment you start your shift, you’ll be operating vehicles, handling packages, and ensuring every shipment is tracked and sorted correctly — all while upholding FedEx’s high standards for safety and security.
- Operate a non-articulated vehicle to perform shuttle functions between facilities
- Load and unload company vehicles and containers safely and efficiently
- Audit the size and weight of packages to ensure accuracy
- Sort packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures
- Scan packages using computerized tracking equipment
- Apply safety procedures consistently when handling packages
- Protect FedEx Canada and customer property, including packages, equipment, and vehicles
- Clean and maintain vehicles, including washing and performing minor maintenance as needed
- Comply with government regulations, company procedures, and local airport authority rules
- Perform emergency pick-ups and deliveries when required (not exceeding 10% of work time)
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious individual who takes pride in doing the job right. The ideal candidate is a licensed driver with a clean record, the physical capacity to handle freight, and the interpersonal skills to work well in a team environment. In Quebec, the ability to communicate in both French and English is essential.
- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Valid, fully unrestricted Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position in the province of Quebec
- Physical ability to lift 70 lbs or manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Completion of all basic and recurrency training as required by FedEx
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Some knowledge of FedEx Express Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations is considered an asset
