About the Role: Seasonal Package Handler Non-Driver

As a Seasonal Package Handler, your primary responsibility is to ensure freight moves through the facility accurately and on time. You’ll be working in a warehouse environment, physically handling packages of varying sizes and weights while using scanning equipment to track shipments.

This position offers a pay rate of $20.86 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the possibility of additional hours from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You may also be scheduled for additional Saturday shifts based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

You’ll be on the floor of the facility throughout your shift, keeping freight moving accurately and safely. These responsibilities are fundamental to FedEx’s ability to deliver on time for its customers.

  • Load and unload freight within the facility as directed
  • Scan shipments to maintain accurate tracking throughout the handling process
  • Lift and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Complete all required training, including basic and recurrency training, to maintain compliance and safety standards
  • Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed for scanning and data entry tasks
  • Work varying shifts based on business needs, including potential Saturday shifts during peak periods

Requirements / Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory
  • Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for candidates residing in the province of Quebec
  • Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred)
  • Ability to complete mandatory testing and training and maintain any required accreditations
