Walmart Canada’s Oshawa location on Harmony Road North is looking for an Overnight Associate to join their in-store team. This is a Regular/Permanent position that plays a key role in keeping shelves stocked and the store ready for opening each morning — a behind-the-scenes role that directly shapes the shopping experience for customers across the community.

About the Role: Overnight Associate

As an Overnight Associate, your primary mission is to support the flow of merchandise from receiving all the way through to the sales floor. You’ll be unloading trailers, pulling pallets, and working alongside your team to process and stock products — all while keeping the backroom and floor clean, safe, and organized. There’s a strong emphasis on labelling merchandise and placing items into backroom bins, which sets this role apart from day and evening fulfillment positions.

You’ll also contribute to setting and signing features, preparing the sales floor for store opening, and stepping in to help customers if needed. The overnight team functions strategically, planning their workload based on operational needs and executing efficiently as a unit. A commitment to workplace safety — including completing safety sweep logs and securing displays — is an important part of this role.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

The Overnight Associate role at Walmart Oshawa covers the full spectrum of overnight merchandise flow — from the receiving dock to the sales floor. Every shift, you and your team work together to ensure the store is fully stocked, clearly labelled, and safe for customers when the doors open in the morning.

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening each morning
• Unload trailers and complete live unloading of various types of merchandise
• Pull pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Label merchandise and place items in the appropriate backroom bins
• Stock the sales floor as assigned and provide customer service when required
• Set, merchandise, and sign product features throughout the store
• Label the sales floor ahead of store opening to ensure accurate signage
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
