Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the centre of hub operations — keeping your team safe, productive, and informed every shift. From managing package flow to developing your staff, the scope of this position touches nearly every aspect of facility operations.

  • Champion FedEx’s Safety Above All Culture and actively support all related safety initiatives
  • Manage full employee lifecycle responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, discipline, and recognition
  • Plan and direct day-to-day operations including staffing, package sortation, trailer movement and tracking
  • Analyze operational performance through direct observation and report interpretation, identifying and executing improvement plans
  • Lead daily employee and planning meetings to communicate operational updates and daily goals to small and large audiences
  • Administer employee relations and safety strategies in compliance with company policy and confidentiality requirements
  • Investigate and resolve or escalate customer service issues as appropriate
  • Train new employees on job duties, performance expectations, hazardous materials handling, SWAK, VEDR coaching, and dock safety
  • Mentor less-experienced Operations Supervisors to develop their critical skill sets
  • Adapt quickly to changing business needs while maintaining professionalism and a positive team environment

Requirements / Skills

  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; comfort working in environments with varying temperatures, noise, and fumes
