About the Role: Manager Technology Governance

As Manager Technology Governance, you’ll lead risk reviews, maintain the company’s risk register, and help develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. You’ll act as a key liaison to external auditors for IT General Controls (ITGCs) and work closely with Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards and legislative requirements such as PIPEDA and PCI-DSS.

You’ll also play an important role in third-party risk assessments, vendor due diligence, and supporting incident response and disaster recovery planning. Responsibilities

The Manager Technology Governance role covers a broad range of risk management, compliance, and governance activities. You’ll be expected to lead with initiative, maintain rigorous documentation, and keep multiple workstreams on track simultaneously — all while communicating clearly with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular risk reviews to identify, evaluate, and mitigate technology risks in alignment with organizational frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., PIPEDA, PCI-DSS)
  • Maintain the risk register, ensuring technology risks are current and that mitigation plans are actively tracked and updated
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, checklists, and procedures to support team and corporate objectives
  • Liaise with external auditors for IT General Controls (ITGCs) and ensure alignment of technology practices with ITGC requirements
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk teams to keep technology governance practices aligned with corporate policy and standards
  • Prepare risk materials and reports for senior management and stakeholders for monitoring and oversight purposes
  • Participate in third-party risk assessments and vendor due diligence processes
  • Support incident response and disaster recovery planning and testing activities

Requirements / Skills
