About the Role: Loss Prevention Clerk

Responsibilities

• Coach and educate warehouse team members on loss prevention topics, policies, and procedures
• Communicate with other Costco Loss Prevention Clerks and local businesses to stay informed on current theft threats
• Attend relevant meetings and seminars to maintain up-to-date loss prevention knowledge
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed

Requirements / Skills

• Loss Prevention License: Valid provincial Loss Prevention License as required by Newfoundland and Labrador

• Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada relating to theft and fraud offences, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Trespass Act, and Privacy Acts
• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly report findings verbally and in writing

• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately
