Responsibilities

Working as a Letter Carrier with Canada Post means your day is structured but dynamic — starting indoors at the depot and moving to outdoor delivery work across your route.   • Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot each morning
  • Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and responsibly

  • Return to the depot at the end of each shift to unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for candidates who are dependable, physically capable, and comfortable being on-call. A clean driving record and the ability to handle the physical demands of daily delivery work are essential to success in this role.

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
  • Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions throughout the year
  • Availability to work on-call as required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and/or French (English or French Essential)
  • Customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is an asset
