About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

As a Delivery Agent with Canada Post in Edmonton, your day starts at the depot where you’ll sort and prepare the day’s deliveries before heading out on your assigned route. You’ll operate a Canada Post postal vehicle, making deliveries by foot and by vehicle throughout your shift. Responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for dependable, physically active individuals who take pride in serving their community. The ideal candidate for this Delivery Agent role is comfortable behind the wheel, capable of handling physical demands throughout the day, and available to work on-call shifts as needed.

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record spanning at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required at time of application)
• Physical fitness to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the shift
• All-weather availability — must be comfortable working outdoors in rain, snow, and cold temperatures year-round
• On-call availability to be called in as needed based on operational requirements
• English and/or French language ability — must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Customer service experience is an asset, as is prior experience making deliveries or working as a driver
