About the Role: IT Financial Analyst

The IT Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the complete invoice management lifecycle — from intake and validation through to approval and payment processing using tools like Coupa. You’ll act as the go-to resource for resolving invoice discrepancies and serve as the primary finance point of contact for IT vendors. Supporting telecom financial management, including invoice processing and batch payment administration, is also part of the scope.

Beyond day-to-day financial operations, this role plays a meaningful part in month-end close activities, including accruals and variance analysis. You’ll also design and maintain financial dashboards and scorecards that track spend and operational performance, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $53,000 to $88,000 per year, with a typical hiring range between $75,000 and $80,000 depending on experience, internal equity, and market benchmarks. Responsibilities

The IT Financial Analyst at Canadian Tire manages a broad set of responsibilities that keep IT financial operations accurate, compliant, and continuously improving. • Partner cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to support seamless financial operations
• Support telecom financial management, including invoice processing and batch payment administration
• Lead month-end close activities including accruals, variance analysis, and financial reviews with clear documentation of key drivers and risks
• Design and maintain financial dashboards and scorecards using Power BI to track spend, performance, and key metrics
• Identify and implement process improvements through standardization and automation to enhance reporting efficiency and financial controls
• Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative, accountable team environment

• 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable, or related financial operations
• 2+ years of experience supporting IT financial operations, vendor management, procurement, or technology-related budgets
• Experience managing large budgets and reporting on cost centres and financial performance metrics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience building dashboards and scorecards that support financial and operational decision-making
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility across business teams and vendors
• Proactive, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational excellence
