Montreal’s AWS Infrastructure Operations team is growing, and Amazon Web Services is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Inventory and Warehouse Associate to help keep their data centre operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on logistics role where your work directly supports one of the world’s most critical cloud computing infrastructures.

About the Role: Inventory and Warehouse Associate

As an Inventory and Warehouse Associate at AWS in Montreal, you’ll be responsible for reviewing data centre inventory, monitoring inbound shipments, and ensuring that stock levels are maintained to support both build and repair activities. Working alongside the Logistics Manager, you’ll develop plans to optimise parts flow throughout the inventory life cycle — tracking location, movement, age, and turnover rates. Your coordination with Data Centre Technicians and Engineers will ensure that parts are delivered quickly and accurately when they’re needed most.

The role also involves direct interaction with vendors to process Return Merchandise Authorisations (RMAs), receive replacement parts, and resolve supply issues through clear, professional communication. Manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, and arranging shipments are part of the everyday workflow, along with assisting with daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups. You’ll also support unpacking and verifying incoming shipments to maintain accuracy across all inventory records.

Benefits and Salary

Amazon offers a starting wage of $25.19 to $30.19 CAD per hour for this position in Montreal. The final rate is determined based on factors such as shift choice, work location, and experience. Additional earnings may include shift differentials, overtime, and performance bonuses where applicable. Responsibilities

This role sits at the intersection of logistics, inventory control, and technical support for AWS data centre operations. Every day, you’ll be making sure the right parts are in the right place at the right time — a responsibility that directly impacts the reliability of AWS cloud infrastructure. Here’s what your day-to-day looks like:

• Review and monitor data centre inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain appropriate stock levels across all facilities
• Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to develop and implement plans that optimise the movement and life cycle of parts inventory
• Track inventory by location, movement, age, and turnover to ensure accurate records and minimise shortfalls
• Fulfil parts requests quickly and accurately in coordination with Data Centre Technicians and Engineers
• Process RMAs and receive replacement parts through direct engagement with procurement and hardware engineering teams
• Communicate regularly with vendors to resolve supply issues and ensure they understand business requirements
• Assist with daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups to and from production locations
• Handle incoming shipments, including unpacking boxes and verifying contents against purchase orders
• Perform manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping, and arranging the shipment of merchandise and materials

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in warehousing, inventory tracking, and logistics operations, along with the communication skills needed to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential, as is a willingness to support operations outside regular hours when needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent education
• 1+ year of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and warehousing practices
• 1+ year of experience in inventory tracking and data analytics
• Bilingual (French and English) with the ability to read and write complex technical instructions in English
• Physical capability to lift loads up to 49 lbs (22 kg) and carry them for short distances
• Valid driver’s licence required
• Availability for after-hours support and overtime as needed
• Preferred: Experience with inventory management systems, material forecasting, and proficiency with WMS/IMS platforms
