Senior Solutions Architect ISV – Amazon Web Services – Montreal, QC
Location: Montreal, QC | Company: Amazon
AWS Canada is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) team, with positions available in Montreal, QC and Ottawa, ON. This is a senior technical role that combines deep architectural expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities — working directly with senior client leaders to shape long-term cloud adoption strategies and solve some of the most complex technology challenges in the industry.
This isn’t a purely technical role — it’s a blend of hands-on cloud architecture design, executive relationship management, and organizational impact. You’ll be building reusable assets, leading cross-functional solution delivery, and representing AWS at industry events, all while helping ISV customers innovate and transform their businesses using the full breadth of AWS services.
About the Role: Senior Solutions Architect, ISV Canada
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you’ll serve as both a credible technical leader and a strategic advisor for AWS Canada’s ISV customers. Your day-to-day involves designing end-to-end cloud architectures, building prototypes, creating thought leadership content, and partnering with senior stakeholders to influence technology direction. You’ll lead cross-team collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes and mentor other Solutions Architects along the way.
This role also carries an advocacy dimension — you’ll be the voice of the customer within AWS, identifying product gaps and feature requests, and working with internal service teams to ensure customer needs are understood and addressed. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required, given the nature of cross-provincial and global interactions with Amazon entities.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this Senior Solutions Architect position ranges from $146,000 to $211,600 CAD annually (for both Montreal and Ottawa locations). As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional wellness resources.
