About the Role: Head of Content Acquisition, Canada, Prime Video

As the most senior content executive for Prime Video Canada, you will be responsible for creating and executing a TV and movie content acquisition strategy that reflects both customer behaviour and market trends. You will work directly with senior-level leaders at content providers across the country, identifying partnership opportunities, structuring deals, and delivering premium content that differentiates Prime Video in a competitive landscape. Your decisions will be grounded in data and analytics — using usage and consumption insights to prioritise and refine acquisition priorities.

Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position is $123,800 to $206,700 CAD annually, based in Toronto, ON. As a total compensation company, Amazon’s package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Requirements / Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, business development, content licensing, or finance
  • 8+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing complex business agreements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of the digital video landscape, including a solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
  • Experience with media licensing models, evaluation metrics, and deal terms
  • Ability to convert insights into strategy and communicate complex ideas clearly and logically in writing (preferred)
  • Experience managing a large portfolio of account relationships and deals simultaneously, ideally within media or entertainment (preferred)
