Responsibilities

Day to day, a Food Service Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons touches nearly every part of the restaurant operation. From front-of-house customer interactions to back-of-house cleaning and food prep, these responsibilities ensure every guest gets a consistent and quality experience.

  • Serve customers at counters and buffet tables, taking orders accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items, portion and wrap foods, and package take-out orders
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment regularly
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand as needed
  • Stock and replenish condiments, supplies, refrigerators, and salad bars throughout the shift
  • Receive and store incoming supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Handle floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit using manual and electrical appliances
  • Keep records of food quantities used and remove kitchen garbage and trash
