Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: This Food Counter Attendant position at Tim Hortons in Drumheller is a permanent full-time role paying $15.50–$16.50/hour with no prior experience needed. Because the job involves both customer service and food handling, a candidate should put customer service experience and any food handling or food preparation background first on their resume, tied directly to taking orders and preparing simple food items.

Resume & Application Tips: Even without paid food service experience, any work that involved serving the public, handling cash or preparing food at home or in a volunteer setting is worth including. The posting lists specific duties such as portioning and wrapping foods, stocking refrigerators and keeping records of food quantities, so matching your resume to those terms will help it read clearly. If you’ve worked a morning-to-evening or weekend schedule before, note that availability directly, since the posting covers all those shifts.

Interview Preparation: Be ready to describe a situation where you handled multiple tasks at the same time, since counter work combines taking orders, preparing food and stocking supplies. Prepare a brief example of a time you followed food safety or cleanliness steps, even in a non-commercial setting. Since the posting does not state a wage within the negotiated range, it is reasonable to ask what determines where in the $15.50–$16.50 range an offer lands, and what a typical week of shifts looks like across the morning, day, evening and weekend schedule.
