About the Position: Food Assistant Manager

As a Food Assistant Manager, you will lead store associates to ensure excellent customer service, compliance with Walmart’s operational guidelines, and effective merchandise management. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of the store and the satisfaction of its customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive profitable sales by managing budgets, sales forecasts, and analyzing sales/financial reports to identify market opportunities.
2. Develop and execute operational plans, ensuring optimal store conditions, effective merchandise presentation, and competitive pricing.
3. Oversee asset protection, safety controls, and quality assurance to maintain compliance with Walmart policies and procedures.
4. Act as a store ambassador, addressing customer needs, resolving complaints, and fostering a positive shopping experience.
5. Support community events and sustainability efforts, strengthening Walmart’s role in the local community.
6. Lead and develop store associates through regular meetings, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
7. Uphold Walmart’s values by providing respectful and constructive feedback to associates and enforcing company standards.
8. Manage high-value merchandise and cash, ensuring proper controls and adherence to company procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
